چکیده
Alzheimer’s disease (AD) represents a significant public health concern in modern society. Metabolic syndrome (MetS), which includes diabetes mellitus (DM) and obesity, modifiable risk factor for AD. MetS AD are interconnected through various mechanisms, such as mitochondrial dysfunction, oxidative stress, insulin resistance (IR), vascular impairment, inflammation, endoplasmic reticulum (ER) stress. Therefore, it is necessary to seek multi-targeted safer approach intervention. Thus, 10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid (10-HDA), unique hydroxy fatty royal jelly, has shown promising anti-neuroinflammatory, blood–brain barrier (BBB)-preserving, neurogenesis-promoting properties. In this paper, we provide summary of the relationship between AD, together with an introduction 10-HDA potential intervention nutrient. addition, molecular docking performed explore metabolic tuning properties associated macromolecules GLP-1R, PPARs, GSK-3, TREM2. conclusion, there close MetS, shows beneficial nutritional both MetS.

متن کاملThe functional property of royal jelly 10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid as a melanogenesis inhibitor
BACKGROUND It has been reported that royal jelly would reduce melanin synthesis and inhibit the expression of melanogensis related proteins and genes. In this study, we evaluate the anti-melanogenic and depigmenting activity of 10-hydroxy-2-decenoic acid (10-HDA) from royal jelly of Apis mellifera. METHODS In this study, we assesses the 10-HDA whitening activity in comparison with the changes...
متن کاملStudies on the in vitro antitumor activity of fatty acids. I. 10-Hydroxy-2-decenoic acid from royal jelly.
Whole royal jelly, when premixed with tumor cells before inoculation, has been shown to inhibit completely the development of transplantable AKR leukemia and of three lines of mouse ascitic tumors. Fractionation studies have established that all, or nearly all, of the in vitro antitumor activity of whole royal jelly can be accounted for in the major component of the ether-soluble fatty acid fra...
متن کاملDetermination of 10-hydoxy -2-decenoic acid in pure Iranian royal jelly by HPLC method
Royal jelly (RJ) is generally regarded as the major reason of the significant morphological and functional differences between queen and worker bees. The unique and chemically most interesting feature of RJ is its fatty acids. RJ fatty acids are short-chained, 8-10 carbon free acids that are usually either hydroxy fatty acids or dicarboxylic acids. The major fatty acid in RJ is 10-hydroxy-2-dec...
